the loyds: family.

The Loyds make you wonder how so many great people ended up in one family. I've known Jenny, Kate, Amy, and Justin for years and was so happy to meet their brother Mark and the rest of the family a couple of weeks ago.

Even though the Denver heat was in full effect and the playground was in sight, we managed to keep all the kids happy (fruit snacks may have played an important role in this). Everyone was so wonderful that I almost forgot there were 16 people who needed to be photograhed. They truly made my job easy.

Thank you Loyds for giving me the opportunity to spend the afternoon with your amazing (and growing) family. I hope your yearly family photo tradition continues for years to come.

the caldwells: family.

The Caldwells are one of my favorite families. They are kind and easy to talk to, and it helps that they have two of the cutest little guys around.

We spent the evening together last Sunday at a beautful park in the mountains. This time last year I was photographing Levi as a newborn, and now he is walking with the best of them. West is a great big brother and loved to climb every rock in sight. The sun was hot, and the dust stuck to our feet, but I think we got some beautiful photos from all our efforts.

Thank you Megan, Robbie, West, and Levi for spending your evening with me. You are a wonderful family, and West, I hope you enjoyed your popsicle when you got home:) 

the walkers: family.

The Walkers are some of my person heroes. Three boys under three is no small feat, but they are doing such an amazing job.

The last time I photographed them, the twins were sitting up and now they are on the move and walking everywhere their little feet will take them. Crawford is a great big brother, and they all loved playing in the dirt, exploring through the trees, and a little promise of ice cream if they were good for the photos. 

Jessi and Jonathan love their boys and are such amazing parents, and it was a joy to spend an afternoon with them. 

the heyds: newborn and family.

I love this family. This is the third time I've had the pleasure of photographing them, and each time I leave feeling so thankful for people like the Heyds who invite me into their lives at such important moments. 

Carrie, Will, Maebel, and Moose just welcomed baby Oliver into the family a couple of weeks ago, and he is absolutely perfect. His mohawk is really just the cherry on top of it all. And Maebel is already the best big sister. She loved holding her brother and smiling (especially when gummy treats were involved:) Carrie and Will are navigating life as a family of 4 with grace and kindness (and a lot of coffee, I'm sure:) 

Thank you Heyds for letting me come to your home and document such a wonderful time in your lives. Maebel and Oliver will never know a day without love, and that is the most important thing of all.
